Traffic Police Surprise Driver Carrying 11 Passengers In Trailer

QCOSTARICA CULTURE – What do you do when you don’t have room for everyone in the car? Hitch a trailer.

That is what one driver did, caught by the traffic police (policia de tránsito) in a traffic control post with 11 passenger – six of them children – on the Costanera, the Pacific coastal highway, near Matapalo.

The passengers were comfortably seated on rock chairs and benches.

The driver was fined ¢300.000 colones (US$565).
