QCOSTARICA – Wind gusts of up to 70 km/h will affect most of the Central Valley and Guanacaste for the coming days, the effects of a high pressure system.
The national weather service, the Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN), said that rain can be expected in the provinces of Limon and the mountainous ares of Cartago, Heredia and San Jose.
Meteorologist Eladio Solano, said the rain in the Caribbean coast is expected to be between 25 and 50 millilitres. For the rest of the country, the winds will cool down the temperatures and cause of occasional rains in the Central Pacific (Puntarenas) and South Pacific (Golfito, Osa and Paso Canoas).
During the strong winds it is best to take precautions against falling objects, such as metal roof panels coming loose.
The weather conditions are typical for the transition from the dry to rainy season that is underway througout the country.
