COSTA RICA NEWS — The national weather service, the National Meteorological Institute (IMN), is predicting heavy rains throughout the entire country today, Tuesday.
An expected Intertropical Convergence Zone known by sailors as the doldrums, is over Central America, a situation that emphasizes the possibility of rain over most parts of the country.

Meteorologist Gabriela Chinchilla said the rains is expected in the late afternoon or early evening and will probably continue through the night.
Caution is advised if driving, especially at night, to impaired visibility.
If going out, don’t forget the umbrella, a sweater or light jacket as temperatures will drop in the night and dry footwear.
