Q COSTA RICA – The Ministerio de Seguridad Publica (MSP) reports the arrest of an American woman in Escazú, in Costa Rica illegally and an with international arrest warrant for fraud.

The woman, identified by her last name, Quintero, was detained Thursday afternoon by officers of the Fuerza Publica Escazú detachment during a routine roadside check on “Calle El Basurero”, in the area that divides Escazu and Alajuelita.

The police report said the woman was carrying an American passport without a record of entering or leaving the country, thus, the officials coordinated with the U.S. Embassy in San Jose and the Immigration service (Migración), where they learned of the interanational arrest warrant.

The woman now face sa judicial process that could lead to deportation.
