More than 1.000 jobs are up for grabs this weekend at the Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) bilingual job far.

The fair is organized by the Programa Inglés por Áreas (ESP) of the UCR, with the participation of Intel, Hewlett Packard, McKinsey & Company, Jujitsu, Citi, DHL, Fiserv, ISW, Amazon, Sykes, Emerson and LanguangeLine Solutions.

According to Gustavo Córdoba, spokesperson for the fair, jobs are being offered in IT, customer service, finance and translations, the areas most desired by the multinational companies.

Córdoba emphasized that most of the jobs ARE NOT for the “traditional call centre”.
