This month (September) begins the launch of the “Only the Essentials” campaign, promoting travel to Costa Rica in the United States and Canada’s main tourist markets, with the wonders that Costa Rica offers.

The campaign started in New York and will extend to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Tampa-Orlando, Denver, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Seattle, Austin, Detroit, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas-Houston, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, and the Canadian cities of Toronto, Montreal and Calgary.

8.8% of all jobs come directly from tourism and generate more revenue than pineapple banana and coffee exports together. Therefore, the program, by attracting more visitors to the country, also stimulates job opportunities.

“Let’s move on all together for this great country,” posted President Carlos Alvarado on his Facebook page in announcing the start of the promo campaign.
