Costa Rican singer-songwriter Debi Nova announced that she will give a concert to celebrate the 40th anniversary of La Avispa bar in San Jose.

Due to her busy schedule and international profile, this concert is one of the few she performs in Costa Rica.

The concert will be on June 15 starting at 8:00 pm, although it is clear that fans will be in for a long night, a “megafeston”.

“Beyond the show is a celebration of a place that has been in charge of social inclusion for forty years, I felt very honored to be invited with my band shouting to the world that we are all equal and deserve the same rights and to be singing to love in all its forms, so we’ll see each other there,” said the Tica artist in a video on the social network.

Ana Vega, the owner of La Avispa, said that they are happy to have Debi because not only is she an internationally known artist, but she is also a Tica and that adds value to the visit.

Tickets for the event are already on sale, in presale they cost five ‘rojos’ (¢5,000) until May 15, after that it will cost ¢7,000. Tickets can only be obtained at La Avispa, located on Calle 1, Avenida 8 & 10. More info here.

This is not the first time that La Avispa celebrates its birthday with great artists, previously it was with Gloria Trevi, Maribel Guardia, María Conchita Alonso and Karen Martello, among others.

Don’t get stung at the oldest LGBT bar in San Jose. Two dance floors, great Latin music and ambiance will help you dance the night away.
