The earthquake that shook Costa Rica this morning, at 3:27am, registered 4.4 on the Richter Scale and was felt throughout the country.
The early morning quake had its epicentre 5 kilometres east of San Jerónimo de Esparza, in the province of Puntarenas, at a depth of 6 kilometres.

The quake was felt strongest in the mid Pacific coast, lighter in the Central Valley as quick jolt.
