A crash between a truck and a passenger vehicle left a total of 21 injured this Tuesday morning on the Ruta 32, the San Jose – Limon highwaym near the Costa Rica river bridge, in the area of Guapiles.

Despite the number of people affected, the Cruz Roja (Red Cross) reported that only the driver of the small vehicle required a transfer to the Guapiles hospital; the remaining treated for bumps and bruises.

The majority of the affected were traveling in the truck headed for a yucca farm in the area.
The accident occurred before 5:30 am under circumstances still unclear.
