Looking for bargains? Walmart, Universal, Ekono and Gollo open holiday season and easy financing

Discounted pricing and easy financing are the trademark of this year's holiday shopping season at the marjor retailers in Costa Rica

Walmart, Universal, Ekono, and Gollo are four of retailers that have announced their holiday promotions with discounts and easy financing, starting with Walmart’s annual ‘Cheapest Day of the Year’ that begins tonight (Friday).

Discounted pricing and easy financing are the trademark of this year’s holiday shopping season at the marjor retailers in Costa Rica

The promo is part of the strategy to attract customers for the Christmas holiday shopping season. The retailers also announced discounts of to 80% for Black Friday later this month.

The “Cheapest Day of the Year” discounts on more than 100 essential products available (pasta, milk, soap, tuna, beans, eggs, sausages, diapers or detergents) and 600 other items from cell phones, tablets, screens television, toys, motorcycles and clothing; with discounts of up to 50%.

This promo at all Walmart will be from 7:00 pm to midnight today (Nov 1) and from 7:00 am to midnight on Saturday and Sunday, meanwhile, the Maxi Palí stores will operate from 7:00 am at 10:00 pm.

Customers with access to credit can finance their purchases through the BAC Credomatic Walmart American Express card on 24 monthly installments without interest.

The other three will also have discounted prices and easy financing on selected merchandise, such as Ekono with their “El Día Más Ekonómico del Año”; Universal will help customers with their “Credi Universal” store credit; while Gollo will have its “Compratón” – a buying telethon? – with discounted pricing and up to 18 months with no interest financing.
