The Mexican dairy LALA made it official this week the purchase of Mú!, the Costa Rican dairy brand, in order to strengthen its portfolio in the country.

The MU! brand, according to its new owner, will continue in the local market

“The purchase of the Mú! brand by Grupo LALA, is the result of a process that began in late 2018 and was successfully completed to satisfy the demand of the national consumer, an element that distinguishes Costa Rica in the region by having the highest per capita milk consumption” said Frédéric Gigou, country manager of LALA Costa Rica.

Mú! was part of the Florida Ice and Farm group (Fifco), the company that brings you Costa Rica’s beers, Cristal water, Pepsi drinks and a host of other products.
